Job description

Reporting to the operations manager of Alcero’s SharePoint team, the SharePoint analyst is responsible for analyzing clients’ business needs, leading the design of SharePoint solutions, configuring/administering the SharePoint platform, and managing projects. The analyst may be assigned to major project teams or may work alone on smaller projects.

  • Analyze customers’ business needs, produce architecture recommendations, and participate in the design of SharePoint solutions
  • Work with the team in the development of proposals to potential customers
  • Develop and document business processes with user participation
  • Manage projects (single or multiple projects simultaneously)
  • Configure SharePoint (including proofs of concept) and lead or participate in preparing plans, design, development and tests (including test case documentation) of SharePoint or Document Management implementations
  • Serve as liaison between the customer and the SharePoint development and configuration teams to ensure that needs are thoroughly understood and the solutions delivered correspond to customer requirements
  • Participate in the SharePoint configuration of proofs of concept and solutions
  • Develop with the team the informational and technical architecture of proposed solutions
  • Participate in the adjustment of implemented solutions and ongoing support for incidents, problems and issues
  • Follow all applicable IT procedures & standards; promote IT best practices
  • Develop training materials (user manuals, training video clips) and coordinate training
  • Mentor other team members

Educational requirements, experience and technical skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in an information technology-related discipline or a combination of a DEC and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in SharePoint solutions analysis
  • Mastery of the various SharePoint features and solutions
  • Results and customer service orientation
  • Be a good communicator, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Agile concepts
  • Certifications: MCT, MCP and MCTS in SharePoint 2010 (asset)
  • Oriented toward analysis and synthesis
  • Methodical and rigorous
  • Excellent oral and written French communication skills
